There’s A Nap For That
Failed to break 90 again (or 100 or 80 or par)? - There’s a nap for that.
Can’t get a job? - There’s a nap for that.
Can’t pay your mortgage? - There’s a nap for that.
Can’t maintain a relationship? - There’s a nap for that.
Home flooded by an accident or mother nature? - There’s a nap for that.
Can’t afford to play golf? - Yeah, there’s a nap for that, too.
Home subsequently flooded with raw sewage because of an aggressively freaky tree root? - There’s a nap for that.
Insurance companies getting you down? - There’s a nap for that.
Homeless? - There’s a nap for that.
Feeling depressed? - There’s a nap for that.
Accepting a charity round of golf from friends and still can’t break 90 (or 100 or 80 or par)? - There’s a nap for that.
IRS after your ass? - There’s a nap for that.
Realizing you’re a screw-up and letting everyone down including yourself? - Oh, there’s definitely a nap for that.
Still can’t maintain a relationship and now you know why? There’s a nap for that.
Feeling like a complete failure and not doing anything about it? - Oh boy is there a nap for that.
Knowing how “easy” it is to maintain a golf blog and not writing on it for months? - There’s a nap for that.
Drunken blogging and baring your pathetic soul? Hopefully … Priceless. (Hook me up, MasterCard.)
It’s a blog. I never claimed to be a professional (at this).
Times are tough - sweet dreams to all. And even sweeter awakenings.
I originally intended on ending this with a promise to be better about posting more frequently, but let’s be real - there may be a nap for that.

The truth is the hardest thing in the world to face sometimes and can sting like hell; that’s why it’s so hard to admit. Only the pure at heart and what I consider good people - the kind I wish I had around me much more. I try not to judge a person by what they have done but what they do about it; Everyone screws up and does things wrong. Welcome to the club.

Naps are sooooo underrated.
Also, maintaining a relationship is soooo overrated because husbands/boyfriends are extremely annoying.
Always LOVE your writing… and… because you started early and maintained a high standard in what you wrote, your blog is still one of the highest ranked independent golf blogs. And there are SO MANY golf blogs now. When you do start posting again you’ll be starting from practically the top.
Now that’s something you don’t need a nap for :o)

Don’t be too hard on yourself - better a rarely updated great blog than an oft updated blog that no-ope reads.

Golf Chick,
Great post. I guess I was napping when you submitted this post.

Take your time, and come back when you’re ready. Sometimes life has a way of taking you off track, only to show you a greater truth when you’re finally able to right yourself. I know that was true for me, and now I can’t wait to get back.
And if you’re napping over IRS stuff…we should talk at some point…I just spent the last year and a half negotiating with those bastards for clients.
But I wish you all the best, and I’ll be looking out for you. It would be great to catch up at some point.
